The Grapes of Wrath Manicure & TutorialNail art is so much fun, especially when it’s food-related! Am I hungry? Probably! I’m hungry for fun(ny) nail art!

Today I wanted to do grape nail art, but decided to put a little quirky twist on it. Here are my The Grapes of Wrath Nails!

Haha, as you can see, the middle finger has a bunch of very upset red grapes. Maybe it’s because the other clusters of purple grapes are staring at him and smiling. Who knows? (I wanted to make the red grapes look angrier, but I goofed up on the eyebrows. Should’ve made the angle more acute.)

What do you think is the background story here? Is Mr. Red Grapes upset because he’s being judged?

Rescue Beauty Lounge Teal SwatchesRescue Beauty Lounge nail polish is known for having a buttery-smooth formula. And a little while ago when they were having a 50% off sale, I just couldn’t resist. (You’re talkin’ about an addict here!)

One of the colors I chose was Rescue Beauty Lounge Teal.

Before wearing this, I had intentions of doing another Konadicure with this as the base color.

After I saw how gorgeous it looked on its own, I just couldn’t bring myself to cover this baby up (at least not the first time I sported it). It’s a deep creme that I think would look incredible on any skin tone!

Rescue Beauty Lounge Scrangie SwatchesThere are some polishes you must own even if the price makes you cringe. For a nail-polish addict like myself, Rescue Beauty Lounge Scrangie was one.

I’ve always been into nail lacquer, but it wasn’t until I found an OPI nail polish that precisely matched one of my Coach purses that I really dove off the high board and into the deep end.

Soon after, I did lots of research online for nail-polish swatches. Of course I came across Scrangie’s blog, which I consider the first of its kind.

Her blog is a nail resource I turned to often, and even to this day, I’m a frequent visitor because of her great photography and reviews that always have personality.

So, you see, while Rescue Beauty Lounge Scrangie turned out to be a great color, I also wanted it in my collection for sentimental reasons. But there was one thing about it that didn’t impress me. Want to know what it is?
