You may have noticed that yesterday, I didn’t have a blog post up. That’s because I’ve been recuperating from a cold for a while.
First, it was a nasty runny nose. I couldn’t believe how much, ugh, mucus a person can produce. Haha, really disgusting!
It has taken forever to shake most of it – thankfully, the runny nose was gone a long time ago, but there’s still the remnants of a persistent cough. I’m hoping it’ll go away this long Thanksgiving weekend.
On Wednesday night, my body just really needed the extra rest.
I’m trying to get the blog train going again because I don’t like to be down for long.
Today, I have for you my review on OPI I’m Feeling Sashy, which is the muted purple from the Miss Universe Collection.
I absolutely love this polish because it’s a little murky, which I find more editorial than a bright purple.

OPI I’m Feeling Sashy Review
Muted purples like this are absolute love for me because they have more edge than bright lavenders. There’s something sophisticated about them, and I love how they infuse just the right amount of colour into your ensemble without looking elementary.
Recently, after posting a photo of this on my Instagram account, one of my readers asked how it compared to a discontinued favourite, OPI Parlez-vous OPI?. So, shortly afterwards, I posted a swatch comparison.
It’s been a long time since I wore Parlez-vous OPI?, but I remember loving that so much. It was a grey-based purple.
I was surprised that when put side-by-side, my smartphone captured I’m Feeling Sashy as having a pink undertone, compared to Parlez-vous OPI?, which leaned more purple. Don’t get me wrong – both are indeed purples, but you could definitely see a touch more pink in I’m Feeling Sashy than Parlez-vous OPI?. (Click here to see the comparison swatches on my Instagram.)
In person, the difference is not as big as it seemed to be in my photograph, but these definitely are not dupes.
The creamy finish of I’m Feeling Sashy by OPI is so smooth – what a joy it was to paint with! Plus when I went to remove it, it was a breeze.
Application & Formula
I’m Feeling Sashy by OPI has such a wonderful formula, it’s seriously a pleasure to work with! I didn’t have to struggle to get it to look good – it just coated the nail wonderfully.
The only reason you see some tip wear in my photos is because I photographed my manicure a couple of days after being really rough on it. Haha, guess I was too excited about this polish that I nearly forgot to photograph it! Oops! 😉
Final Verdict: 10/10
I really fell hard for OPI I’m Feeling Sashy, so I had to give it a perfect score!
There’s something about muted purples that make me feel more elegant, even if I’m far from sophisticated – haha! I love ladylike polishes like this.
Do muted purples like this appeal to you? Will you be watching the Miss Universe pageant?
